Get ready for MacFest 2008 – 5th-7th August
Semester Two kicks off with MacFest 2008 – one of the key events of the year in the Macquarie University calendar. Taking place from Tuesday 5th August to Thursday 7th August from 10am-3pm.
MacFest 2008 is set to be one of the biggest yet with three days of stalls, marquees and entertainment held in the courtyard. There will also be a beginning of Semester Party in the UBar on Thursday night from 8pm.
MacFest 2008 will comprise of over 80 market stalls in the Central Courtyard, showcasing the numerous services, lifestyle and leisure activities the University has to offer. A great mix of community and corporate exhibitions are also on hand providing some great free samples and offers.
Students will also have the opportunity to join various Student Groups, as well as see what other services are on offer at the University, meet other students and have a great welcome into the new semester. Come down and have a look, there will be something down there for everyone.
Other events throughout the week range from entertainment and bands, DJs, sport and leisure activities, arts and cultural performances and BBQ’s. So make sure you’re part of the action!
