Athlete Diaries
The Macquarie University iRECORD Diary is a comprehensive elite student athlete planning and recording tool. It was developed to assist our student athletes manage and monitor studies, training, performance, fitness and health. The Diary provides a holistic approach to training and sport-student life balance and serves the dual functions of an athlete and student diary.
Why a Diary?
A training diary is one of the most valuable tools of student athlete who is intent on high performance. If used effectively, the Macquarie University iRECORD Diary will help the student athlete achieve their goals. The use of the Diary over time will develop habits that are essential for success including vision and focus, discipline and application, self-management, planning and prioritised action.
The iRECORD Diary has been developed by Dr Paul Gastin an internationally respected Australian sports scientist and performance consultant. The iRECORD is unique to Macquarie athletes and represents international best practice in assisting students athletes in managing the demanding task of achieving and sporting and academic excellence.
