Conception Day 2009
40th Anniversary
Friday 18 Sept
Its coming soon....
Conception Day is an embedded tradition and the highlight of the year at Macquarie University. Celebrating its 40th Anniversary on 18 September 2009, Conception Day is renowned as a major event in the festival calendar, drawing crowds of thousands of people. 2009 is set to be the best yet!
Why there's a Conception Day
It's a tradition celebrating the opening
of the University. Since 1969 Macquarie University students have made it their own special day, getting together en masse to kick back
and have a good time.
It’s an all-day festival of live music, bands, DJs, rides and fabulous food, with heaps for the culture vulture too.
In short, a day which proves that
“all work and no play” is not
the Macquarie way!
Conception Day has made its way onto Sydney's festival calendar too.
Every year crowds of up to
10,000 are drawn by a line-up of
great acts including internationally-renowned performing artists.
This year’s lineup is set to be the best yet. We'll be releaseing details of our headline act and other fantastic artists as soon as they come on board so check back here regularly for the latest updates.
