Academic Dress Reservation Terms and Conditions
Please note these terms and conditions need to be read and accepted prior to filling in the reservation form.
Reservations
To participate in your graduation ceremony, you will be required to wear full academic dress of the Degree or Diploma in which you are graduating.
Academic dress comprises a gown, a cap(trencher/bonnet) and a hood/stole (in the colour of the degree).
Payments for reservations must be made within two business days of the order being placed. Any payments made less than two weeks before or during the gradaution period will attract a late fee of $50 regardless of the date ordered.
Deposit Refunds
Deposits made by cheque or money order will be refunded in cash when all academic dress items are returned. Please ensure you pick up your deposit on the day.
Academic Dress Hire
All items must be returned within one hour of the ceremony conclusion, in its original condition.
If any items are returned after the time stated above, the Graduate agrees to pay a further hiring fee of $50 per day or part day until all items have been returned or where necessary replaced to an amount not exceeding $595. The amount will be charged to your credit account as submitted on the online reservation form.
If any items are returned in other than good condition the Graduate shall reimburse U@MQ Limted for the cost of repairs.
Replacement of any items not returned, or returned requiring repairs which in the opinion of U@MQ Limited it is not commercially viable to repair owing to either cost or inability to match material and /or cut; and
This is to cover the potential lost hire revenue as a consequence of the required repairs/replacement action.
All items are to be tried on before leaving the premises so as to ensure the correctness of the order and the condition of the items. U@MQ Limited cannot accept responsibility for the items not tried on.
Security and Privacy
Collection and Use of Information
U@MQ collects personal data for the purpose of providing a specific product or service requested by the customer.
Certain information may be required in order to provide this product or service, such as full name of customer and recipient, authorised users, e-mail address, billing address, contact phone numbers and credit card number.
The information collected may also be used to inform the customer of additional products and services, which may be of interest to them.
All marketing material sent to the customer will include an option for the customer to request removal from mailing or contact lists for any future marketing.
Offline Payment
Alternatively, you can select cheque as your payment method and together with a completed copy of your order with reference number up the top and cheque or money order, the payment can be processed manually at U@MQ Limited.
Note: If paying by cheque/money order an $100 refundable deposit is required to be added to the total price.
This deposit will be refunded after you have returned your academic dress.
Privacy in email
U@MQ does not share or reveal email content or personal information with third parties. Email messages remain strictly between the sender and intended recipients.
Refunds
All refunds for orders placed online are credited to the original credit card on which the order was purchased by quoting the Confirmation Receipt Number.
Cancellation of Orders
Academic Dress Hire
Should you need to cancel your order, money will be refunded back into your account by quoting the Confirmation Receipt Number.
Note: Refunds will not be processed if cancelled within 48 hours of graduation.
Late Fee
If, any items are returned after the time stated on the day of graduation, the customer agrees to pay an additional hiring fee of $50 per day, inclusive of the hiring day, until all items have been returned or, where necessary, replaced. This amount will not exceed $595 and will be charged to your credit card account as submitted on the online reservation form.
Fraud
Any party engaged in illegal activities involving the use of this website will be subject to civil and criminal sanctions and prosecution.
U@MQ does not guarantee that it will be able to prevent any illegal or inappropriate use of this website, nor that it will give notice of any illegal or inappropriate use of this website. It is an illegal violation to place orders under a false name, with a fraudulently obtained credit card or without the consent of the cardholder.
All persons found to have placed a fraudulent order will be prosecuted.
GST (Goods & Services Tax)
Our products and services attract a Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%.
All prices advertised are inclusive of all taxes applicable to the respective countries that the product is being delivered in. This is a broad based tax on consumption, which applies to the supply of most goods and services.
Currency
All prices on www.uatmq.com.au are listed in Australian dollars (AUD).
Collecting Your Academic Dress
Academic dress will be fitted prior to your graduation ceremony, in the U@MQ Building. The location will be signposted on the day.
Academic Dress will only be available for collection, two hours prior to your ceremony.
