Support at U@MQ
U@MQ aims to support the students and staff of the Macquarie University community by providing services and facilities during their time on campus.
Our Services
The U@MQ Women's Room provides a women-only safe and friendly place on campus. Resources include a comprehensive women's library, contraception, sanitary protection, breastfeeding and baby changing facilities and much more. The U@MQ Women's Room offers an opportunity for women to rest, reflect, socialise and study.
The U@MQ QueerSpace: Gender and Sexuality Centre offers a safe and friendly environment for GLBTIQ identifying students. Resources and information regarding social, legal, political, and health issues are available. The centre offers an opportunity for students and staff to rest, reflect, socialise, study and obtain peer support.
As well as the services offered by U@MQ the University at large offers a wider range of support services.
Macquarie University Support Services
Support Services provides free and confidential services to students and staff of Macquarie University in the areas of: medical and health issues, counselling, managing with a disability, improving study skills, financial concerns, general help on living and studying at university, including an accommodation service, and careers advice.
Macquarie International
Macquarie International provides information and support for international students wishing to study at Macquarie, as well as for Macquarie students wishing to study overseas on exchange.
Macquarie University Postgraduate Representative Association (MUPRA)
MUPRA specifically represents the interests of postgraduate students on campus, and seeks ways to involve and connect the postgraduate community, whether through discussing issues affecting their study or by providing opportunities for socializing.
MUPRA membership is automatically granted to all postgraduate students at Macquarie University, with no conditions or fees.
