Sustainability U@MQ
Sustainability is about ensuring a prosperous and equitable quality of life for current and future generations.
A core aspect of sustainability is the understanding that economic, social, and environmental issues are interrelated.
Therefore, "sustainable development" aims to balance:
- social justice
- economic well-being
- environmental protection
- diversity
U@MQ is committed to sustainability by:
- Including sustainability as a core value of the organization
- Including specific goals and standards in the U@MQ Strategic Plan 2008-2015
- Creating a Sustainability Team of 16 colleagues from all areas of U@MQ’s operations to work together to improve U@MQ’s sustainability performance
- Actively participating in the University’s Sustainability Working Group.
