Sports Fields
The Macquarie University Sporting Fields are owned and maintained by Macquarie University Sport and Recreation Inc. The sports fields provide over 7 hectares of specialist playing areas, this includes one of the largest AFL ovals in Sydney.
The Sports Fields are utilized by the organisation's sporting teams, members, external sporting clubs and the general public.
Various international sporting teams have utilised our sports fields over the years including the All Blacks. The Sports Fields were also the Equestrian and Cross Country venues for the 2002 World Junior Pentathalon Championships.
Located at the corner of Talavera Rd and Culloden Rd, (Gate 3), the Sports Fields cater for a wide variety of activities including:
Australian Football, Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, Hockey, Touch, Ultimate Frisbee and others.
With new flood lighting to the ovals, the sports fields are available for late night training or a friendly game of soccer. Bookings are essential, and no games will be allowed without prior consent of Macquarie University Sport & Recreation.
